This series of pictures was taken from the back seat of a moving motorbike, riding across the highlands of Vietnam, during the Ha Giang Loop. Some of them, I was not even looking through the visor of the camera. Just pointed and shoot.
(Except the very first one, we where just starting)
Duong, Vietnamese rider, took me on his bike on a four-day trip to see one of the most wonderful areas of Southeast Asia.
Two times per week, he embarks on this adventure through the north of Vietnam, taking tourists, travelers, and the curious.
He did not speak a word of English, neither did I speak Vietnamese, but Google Translate, that I consider now one of the greatest inventions of all time, helped me to know him a little bit more.
He told me about his family, and about his girlfriend, who lives in one of the towns that form the traditional route, where he sneaks out at night during every tour to go and see her briefly each week. He told me about his love for motorbikes, roads, and nature, while shouting and pointing out every time he saw something fascinating over the noise and dust of the road.
